Passing cars swing wider and give you more room when you use the Safety Wing. This EU-approved safety device is a folding reflector arm that extends 12" from the bike. When not needed, it easily folds back and out of the way.
The Safety Wing is typically mounted at the end of the chain stay on the left side of the bicycle, but the universal mounting bracket lets you mount anywhere you can fit it. For example, the seat stay and rack are popular mounting positions.  All fitting hardware is supplied with the Safety Wing and the product is easily installed in minutes with just a Phillips screwdriver.

TitanStraps are equally adept at securing loads in Arizona’s blistering summer heat or the typical sub-zero temperatures found in the far reaches of Alaska in January. Remaining supple in extreme temperatures and climates, TitanStraps are made from a stretchy, high performance polymer that’s been injected with a 10-year UV additive for extra longevity. A polished, heat-treated aircraft aluminum buckle is over-molded in the manufacturing process for bombproof strength. Simple in design, high in function, you’ll find hundreds of uses for TitanStraps – from securing loads on bicycles, motorcycles, panniers, PVC pipe, rebar, tools and 2 x 4’s on a lumber rack to bundling hoses to organizing items in your garage. TitanStraps offer excellent adjustability and can be ‘daisy-chained’ together for extra length. When the mercury drops, you’ll appreciate the aggressive pull-tab for use with winter gloves or mittens and our straps can easily be ‘quick released’ with one hand. In addition, the straps are non-marring so you don’t have to worry about scuffmarks on your vehicle. The high-visibility strap doesn’t use hooks, making them safer than typical bungee cords. Straps sold seperately. Working load limit: 60lbs /27.2kg

Tiger Eye Helmet Mirror https://www.adventurecycling.org/shop/helmet-mirror/ https://www.adventurecycling.org/shop/helmet-mirror/#comments Tue, 09 Jan 2024 19:51:54 +0000 https://www.adventurecycling.org/shop/helmet-mirror/ A favorite of a former Tours Director, Arlen Hall, Tiger Eye mirrors have been handmade in America for over a decade. Installation instructions:
    • To install the Tiger Eye mirror it should be placed in the northwest corner of the helmet; not too far in front or it will block forward vision, and not too far back or you will have to look too hard to the left to see it.
    • When attaching the mirror to the helmet the large rubber-coated U portion of the mirror that slides onto the edge of a helmet should be squeezed almost closed and then gently opened just enough to get it started on the edge of the helmet, then push it on the rest of the way. This will insure a tight attachment to the helmet; half of the U should be between the brow pad and the inside of the helmet, and the other half of the U on the outside of the helmet.
    • Since every helmet is different, the final adjustment requires some bending of the spoke to get the mirror where it needs to be on a particular helmet. Don’t be afraid to bend it, it’s a bike spoke and it won’t break from bending it. Place your left finger in your left ear and bend the spoke until you can see your finger. This will require you to take the helmet on and off a few times and hold the mirror onto the helmet while you are bending it and testing it’s position. Once you have that position, set you will need to turn your head very slightly to the left to see directly behind you.
